DEIA Excellence in Research Grant

DEADLINE – June 30th, 2023 at 11:59 pm ET

Grant Application is open to DEIA-related dissertation proposals, master theses, senior papers, meta-analyses, program evaluation plans, and other research studies. Research should have an Applied Psychology focus.

The aim of the DEIA Excellence in Research Grant is to assist students (Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral levels) and early career consultants with producing original DEIA research that is relevant to Applied Psychology.

The DEI Domain serves as an access point for knowledge, training, and research exchange on matters of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging, and Accessibility at the Society of Consulting Psychology (SCP). The purpose of the DEIA Excellence in Research Grant is to promote the continued practice, professional development, and commitment to DEIA service within the Domain and SCP at large.

Grant recipients benefit by obtaining funds that can be used to cover research expenses. Likewise, the scholarship will assist recipients in continued professional development as the funds could be used to attend conferences or workshops, where the student could present their research. For instance, a student could use funds to cover costs associated with delivering a poster presentation, data blitz session, skill-building sessions, or symposium at a conference.
