ABSTRACT
In our personal journeys to be effective leaders, and in the process of supporting others in theirs, we benefit from understanding how to integrate personal signatures in our demonstration of leadership. This interactive and engaging workshop encourages participates to weave their personal experiences into their efforts of being more effective as authentic leaders. It provides a foundational definition of leadership, and outlines a series of pathways to intentionally recognize patterns of behavior that illustrate personal missions, motives, and options for influencing and impacting others.
The workshop is grounded in researched models of leadership and their application. It relies more on the introspection of participants and the interactive sharing of themes with peers to provide insights, options, and feedback on each person’s unique journey to be effective and to contribute to the effectiveness of others.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
- Define leadership based on their personal experiences and behaviors
- Outline a process to generate a personal mission statement
- Identify their predominate approach to influencing and impacting others
