We are seeking a Senior Consultant to join our growing team. This is a mid-career role designed for an experienced consultant who is ready to own client relationships, lead complex engagements, and actively contribute to business growth in their local market.
The Role
As a Senior Consultant, you will serve as a trusted advisor to clients while playing a visible role in expanding CMA’s presence in your region. You will lead end-to-end engagements, facilitate high-impact client conversations, and balance strong scientific grounding with relational presence and judgment.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both delivery and development, building meaningful client relationships while also helping grow the firm through networking, proposal development, and new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Client Leadership & Consulting Delivery
• Own and manage client relationships from initial engagement through delivery and follow-through
• Lead and facilitate client meetings, workshops, and executive-level discussions
• Design and deliver engagements across assessment, executive coaching, team effectiveness, strategy, and organizational design
• Translate assessment data and research into practical, actionable insights for leaders and teams
• Navigate ambiguity and tailor solutions to complex organizational contexts
• Uphold a consistently high bar for quality, clarity, and client experience
Assessment & Coaching
• Administer, interpret, and integrate psychological and leadership assessments into client work
• Deliver executive feedback and coaching grounded in both data and relational insight
• Balance scientific rigor with empathy, presence, and situational awareness
Business Development & Market Growth
• Actively build and maintain a strong professional network within your local market
• Identify, pursue, and help close new business opportunities
• Develop proposals and scope engagements in partnership with CMA leadership
• Represent CMA externally through networking, speaking, and thought leadership
• Contribute to the long-term growth and visibility of the firm
Culture & Team Contribution
• Model CMA’s values of Squad, Stellar Service, and Science
• Collaborate closely with consultants across offices and geographies
• Contribute to internal initiatives, offerings, and continuous improvement efforts
Qualifications:
* PhD in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or Counseling Psychology
• Approximately 10 years of consulting experience, with demonstrated success owning client relationships
• Proven experience leading client meetings and facilitating groups at the senior leader or executive level
• Strong grounding in assessment, coaching, and organizational consulting
• Comfort with business development, networking, and proposal creation
• High relational intelligence paired with strong analytical rigor
• Alignment with CMA’s values and consulting philosophy
Location Requirements
• Must be willing to live in Denver, Kansas City, or St. Louis
• Strong preference for candidates who already have established professional relationships within their local market

Hours
• Full-time, exempt position.
Timeframe
• Start date flexible.
Travel
• Travel expectations are 2-4 nights per month (10-20%).
