Before getting involved in the SCP Mentorship Program, we recommend you review the SCP Mentorship Program Manual on the google drive: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1V0TNozMJUvXWCpEaaTz6q_0kllVQY6_z

Why Should I Get Involved?

Research shows that individuals who are mentored have an increased likelihood of career success as a result of the targeted developmental support they receive. Mentors will be able to continue to build their network, foster the professional developments of others in the SCP community, and share their professional experiences to develop other SCP members. Mentees will receive individualized 1 on 1 support with an experienced consulting psychology professional in order to learn best practices in the field, increase professional development, and connect more with different professionals in the SCP community.

Is There A Deadline To Sign Up?

No! The SCP Mentorship Program is open to both mentors and mentees on a rolling basis.

If I Am A Mentee, Can I Have More Than One Mentor?

We encourage mentees to work with only one mentor at a time. However, depending on your Level of Involvement, you may have the opportunity to pair with multiple mentors during the year at Level I, and/or pair with a new mentor once per year. However, if you and your mentor believe that the match is not the right fit, please reach out to the SCP Mentorship Program Coordinator, Daniel Jureller, Psy.D. at djureller11@gmail.com.

Do I Have To Pay Any Fees To Get Involved?

No! The program is completely free!

If I Am A Mentor/Mentee, Is There Flexibility With How Frequently To Be Involved?

Yes! Those interested in being a mentor and mentee will have the option to determine their own level of commitment to the mentorship program. Mentors will determine how many mentee slots they have available at 3 levels of involvement. Mentors can choose to have slots in one or multiple levels and are free to determine how many slots at each level. For more information, please review the Levels of Involvement on page 7 in the SCP Mentorship Program Manual.
