Society of Consulting Psychology

It is with excitement and pleasure that I welcome you to the website of the 2024 Society of Consulting Psychology’s annual conference, which is taking place in Austin, Texas. Our theme for 2024 is “The Enduring Lessons of Consulting Psychologists”, which focuses on the unique value that we, as psychologists, offer in the consulting and leadership coaching space. We will be reminded not only what our roots in psychology have provided to this field, but also what is new in our field as we continue to learn, explore, and discover ways to enhance our work and further the science of consulting psychology. As those of you that have attended past conferences know, this is a wonderful opportunity to add to your toolbox while connecting with your colleagues. For those of you contemplating attending your first SCP conference, be assured that you will walk away feeling that your time was well-spent.

Let us all come together to join old friends, meet new friends, learn from each other, spend quality time together, and most of all, have fun. We recognize that we are all learners and teachers – please take the time to leverage both of these opportunities at our conference. We especially welcome students to our conference, hoping that they will discover not only what our profession has to offer, but also what our members have to offer. I encourage everyone that comes to be intentional about creating a safe, welcoming, and enriching environment for all, recognizing and valuing the unique experiences and perspectives of our members. Let us remember our core values of mutual respect, responsibility, and integrity that serve as a guide for all our members:

Mutual respect: Allowing others to be themselves and express themselves in ways that are open and inclusive of others’ differences/diverse selves.
