Welcome to the 2027 Society of Consulting Psychology Annual Conference. I’m excited to invite you into a conversation that feels especially timely for our field: how we keep people at the center of our work in an increasingly complex and technology-driven world. This year’s theme, Human-Centered Consulting: Bridging Perspectives, Advancing Practice, reflects both the challenges we’re facing and the opportunities we have to shape the future of consulting psychology. We are committed to delivering a top-quality conference experience, bringing together diverse voices—researchers, practitioners, and leaders—to share ideas and learn from one another.
We’ll gather in beautiful San Diego, California, a setting that offers space to step away from daily demands, reflect, and connect. Surrounded by water, sun, and fresh ocean air, I hope you’ll find inspiration both in the program and in the environment. Whether you’re presenting, attending, or both, I look forward to the ways we will focus on making a meaningful and positive impact on people, organizations, and the world.

This conference is an opportunity to come together as a community to reflect, learn, and shape the future of consulting psychology. We invite you to bring your ideas, your research, and your experiences to help advance human-centered consulting in a rapidly changing world.
Visiting San Diego feels like stepping into a place where laid-back beach culture meets vibrant city life. The weather is famously mild year-round, making it easy to spend your days outdoors—whether that’s walking along the coastline in La Jolla Cove, watching surfers ride waves at Pacific Beach, or exploring the scenic trails and gardens of Balboa Park. The city’s coastal views, dotted with cliffs and sea lions, create a relaxed but visually striking atmosphere that’s hard to match.
Beyond the beaches, San Diego offers a rich mix of culture, food, and history. You can dive into maritime heritage at the USS Midway Museum, stroll through the lively streets of Gaslamp Quarter, or cross into the colorful marketplaces of Old Town for a glimpse of early California life. The food scene is equally memorable, especially if you try the region’s famous fish tacos and fresh seafood. Whether you’re there for relaxation, exploration, or a bit of both, San Diego offers an easygoing experience that still feels full of things to discover.
There are a number of CE credit opportunities available at the conference. Please refer to the agenda for a full listing of CE credits available.
Our annual conference is an ideal place for students to learn more about consulting psychology as a profession, as well as to network with other consultants. Stay tuned for information on our graduate student consortium to be offered the day before the conference.
