2027 SCP Annual Conference – Call for Speakers
Important Dates:
Submission Opens: May 4, 2026
Submission Deadline: August 15, 2026, 1:59 CDT
Conference Theme: Human-Centered Consulting: Bridging Perspectives, Advancing Practice
We are operating in a time of rapid technological change, increasing complexity, and growing divides across disciplines, perspectives, and lived experiences. These shifts are not abstract; they are showing up every day in our work with clients, teams, and organizations.
The 2027 SCP Conference invites proposals that explore how consulting psychologists can keep people at the center of their work while advancing science, strengthening communication across differences, and thoughtfully shaping the role of technology in human systems.
This year’s theme, Human-Centered Consulting: Bridging Perspectives, Advancing Practice, reflects both a challenge and an opportunity to define and elevate what is uniquely human in our work while ensuring that organizations function effectively as human systems.
We encourage submissions that:
- Advance the science and practice of consulting psychology
- Bridge differences across technical/non-technical, cultural, generational, and societal perspectives
- Integrate diverse and interdisciplinary viewpoints
- Address the impact of technology on human connection, well-being, and effectiveness
- Highlight ethical consulting and/or leadership in organizations
Presentation Tracks
To support a rich and balanced program, proposals should align with one of the following three tracks:
1. Research Track (CE)
Empirical studies, theoretical advancements, and evidence-based models that contribute to the scientific foundation of consulting psychology.
2. Application Track (CE)
Evidence-based consulting tools, frameworks, and methods that attendees can directly apply in their consulting, leadership, or organizational work.
3. Business Track (non CE)
Insights from applied consulting practice, including case studies, client engagements, and lessons learned on how to develop and run a consulting business.
