I had this book on my “to read” list for years, recommended by creative entrepreneurs who felt it helped them connect better to their creativity. I finally picked it up as a book to read on our December holiday trip and quickly became immersed and inspired. There there is a heavy faith/spirituality element to it that didn’t necessarily speak to me directly, nor will it connect with others, I found that the book nonetheless connected to a different kind of energy I feed off of, which is creative energy. I was reminded how important it is for me to feel like I have enough time and brain space to engage in creative projects – sometimes I had to make it happen outside my job and now I get to infuse it into what I do. By the end, I realized I needed to ensure I commit as much focus to developing my creative wealth as I do to developing financial wealth.
