May Town Hall

May 18, 2026
7:00-8:00 EST
Via Zoom Meeting

We invite you to attend a monthly one-hour Town Hall via zoom hosted by President Joanie Connell. This is an opportunity to come together as a professional community, to share your experience and discover that of other SCP members. Each month we will start with a topic of interest featuring some aspect of our society. We will then open it up to wider discussion of any topics those online wish to bring up.

Presentation Description

This presentation translates recent field‑based research on ethical leadership into practical guidance for organizations seeking to strengthen their ethics culture. Drawing on a high‑stakes executive simulation study, the presenters will demonstrate that traditional predictors of ethics, such as dark side personality measures and certain performance ratings, do not fully predict ethical behavior under pressure. What does emerge as the strongest indicator of ethical decision‑making in real business contexts? Come to the Town Hall to find out. You will learn about the findings and leave with a reframed understanding of ethics as observable behavior in critical moments, along with practical tools for building a culture where ethical leadership is visible, measurable, and sustained.
