Event Description
Psychologists are increasingly offering coaching to individuals, companies, and communities. But what is coaching, and how does it differ from their usual services like clinical work or consultation? This three-hour workshop, led by three expert speakers, will review common coaching formats, explore legal and ethical issues, and discuss how to start and run a coaching practice.

The presenters will share insights on transitioning from clinical work to coaching and managing a successful business. Participants can engage with the presenters and each other on this interactive workshop, moderated by Dr. Marnie Shanbhag, Ph.D.

Learning Objectives
• Explain the difference between coaching and psychotherapy.
• Identify the necessary education and training competencies before providing coaching services.
• Name at least two aspects of setting up a coaching business.
• Increase awareness about ethical and legal considerations when delivering coaching services.
