We invite you to attend a monthly one-hour Town Hall via zoom hosted by President Joanie Connell. This is an opportunity to come together as a professional community, to share your experience and discover that of other SCP members. Each month we will start with a topic of interest featuring some aspect of our society. We will then open it up to wider discussion of any topics those online wish to bring up.
The Human Signal: How to find, assess, and keep talent when AI is changing everything
The talk answers three questions, which should work well for marketing:
1. How is AI changing talent? What the newest research actually shows about AI and work, and why technical expertise is no longer the scarce resource.
2. How is AI changing the way we identify and assess talent? Why the traditional hiring stack is filling up with synthetic signal, and a rubric for judging any assessment vendor, including me.
3. How do we build cultures that can act on what we find? Why most organisations are underperforming on their AI investment, and why the fix is cultural rather than technical.
Featured Speaker
Dr. Reece Akhtar is Co-Founder and CEO of Deeper Signals, where he combines psychological science and technology to help organisations make better talent decisions. He is also an Adjunct Lecturer at New York University, where he teaches algorithmic responsibility, and previously led analytics and product innovation at RHR International and research at Hogan Assessment Systems. He holds a PhD in organisational psychology and writes for Harvard Business Review and Forbes on AI, talent and the future of work.
